who is your mentor

I had idea to write blog on mentor. Who is mentor ? when really this word used ?

Most of the startup company guys will come across this word mentor.

When myself had idea to do startup; starting searching in internet how to do startup. Lot of blog said you need to find perfect mentor. so started searching for mentor. Really could not find some one whom we can trust and share our ideas.

So started recollecting all the mentors who came across my life. Even though my mom/dad/friends played key role in my life. I personally want to tell about a mentor who had shaped me in my professional life.

Even in one of the interview (Job change after many years), some one asked this question. Who is your mentor ? what did you learn and like about that person. You don’t believe me. Talked about 30 minutes about my mentor. They totally impressed the way  explain and got that job.

After 2 years working in India got opportunity to move to US and work directly from client location. That’s the place meet my mentor. After working with that person in week realized they are very much capable of anything. The first thing established in between as is Trust. Both started believe together can change the world.

Learn from Mistakes:

Let’s say you are looking into important production issue. Its already 2 hours over. But could not resolve. It’s high time to start document everything what you had done. The main reason is when some one new comes to help, no need to repeat all the failures you had tried.

We are having so many mentors in life. But some time both did not realize. Find the correct mentor learn from them and also support them all the way you can.

A great leader is who can create one more leader. If you got good support from mentor, please help others too. They are many people who need your help and support.

Note: Now we both don’t work together and may not talk for months. But still have the same trust/respect as before.
