When release happens order information gets exported to external system. This external system can be warehouse management or simple POS.
POS : Point of Sales
All the status updates from WMS or POS received into OMS via Integration Server and applied. Based on Status updates emails are triggered from OMS.
Note : OMS can not directly Sent beautiful email to customer. Hence OMS just triggers the XML external system. Email will be created by external system based on XML.
